I'm very sad to report that a small convenience store just across the road from my premises has had to close. A Tesco Express opened not far away and that was the beginning of the end.
I would have been in that shop at least 3/4 times a week for the past 30+ years under its various owners. It was such a reliable port of call.
Now it has gone I can't help but feel a bit vulnerable. It's business life mirrored mine for so much of the time..........
